RAMALLAH, WEST BANK - The Bush administration is spending foreign aid money to increase the popularity of the Palestinian Authority on the eve of crucial elections in which the governing party faces a serious challenge from the radical Islamic group Hamas.
The roughly $2 million program is being led by a division of the U.S. Agency for International Development. But no U.S. government logos appear with the projects or events being undertaken as part of the campaign, which bears no evidence of U.S. involvement and does not fall within the agency's traditional work.

Meanwhile, we can't afford border guards. Uh huh.
Just wrong.
Take my hard earnd money. Tax it and send My hard earned money to the f-ing U.N. and to the f-ing palestinians?
GOD this government sucks sometimes.
Let Hamas win, they are the real face of the Palis. Propping up the corrupt PA is a waste.
Bush is giving more of my money to terrorists, again, or is it still???
God gave this land to the Jews and Bush is doing everything he can to give the Holy Land to those Godless arabs...
the results of a failed policy? or is more going on here than meets the eye? the facts are hard to ignore but i would like to think that the US policy and the Sharon policy were coordinated to clearly demarcate combatants by territory and group. in the end, we will know that Hamas is running the show and where to find them. pipe dream? maybe.. some wishful thinking to pull a winning rabbit out of a losing hat, probably.
We can only hope there is more to it...But I believe the evidence leads to a failed policy...
Continue the legacy with another Bush.
Bandar Bush for President.

US investing in PA image before vote

The Bush Administration has been investing in the image of the Palestinian Authority ahead of the January 25 PA parliamentary elections, in which PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party runs the risk of being edged out of power by Hamas in the first Palestinian election in over a decade, The Washington Post reported Sunday.
The American initiative hopes to ensure that the PA receives recognition for a number of popular projects.

I disagree with funding Abbas' Fatah party. Why fund the terrorists who are more adept at genocide propaganda than Hamas? And why is it desirable to give aid and comfort to terrorists against Israel? Each day, this world of nations reminds me more of a schoolyard with a bully and a lot of cowards in it.
