Yep - -football is played in mud and wind. I remember being at a Broncos game when it was snowing and the wind was blowing and I don't remember being so cold in my life. On a crisp fall day, there's hardly anything better than an outside football game. Sitting in the cold and snow or rain freezing your bum off isn't always quite as much fun IMHO (unless, of coure, your team is winning ;-).

I remember in 1964 freezing my free-holles off watching the Garland Owls take on Galena Park Yellow Jacket for the AAAA State Championship. Owls won 26-21 in one of the best football games I ever saw!

Anything beats watching just about anything in the old Kingdome -- although I do have some good memories from that immense cavern! It used to tick me off no end when it would be a warm, crystal-clear summer day and I'd have to go inside to watch the M's!
