You make two good points, but you over simplify the solution. I dont know where Saitman will run next given the current invasion. Given the political climate, I certainly cant answer that question. Still its a good question.
With regard to staying behind for the fight, perhaps some of us have looked at the insurmountable odds and have decided to cut our losses and run. Where to run is still a problem. I agree the fight is necessary, but Ive been there and lost. Given the proliferation of new laws in California affecting my trade, Ive testified at hearings, submitted arguments, and challenged unsubstantiated assumptions that justified changes in law. Unfortunately, our legislature is deaf, except to the sound of money. So, perhaps youre right, we should stay behind for the noble fight, or perhaps it is more prudent to look at the odds and run, and survive to fight another day in another place. I, for one, am worn out from the fight Ive already waged, so I may also join the weenies and run.

I agree the fight is necessary, but Ive been there and lost. I understand the sentiment, my family having lived in California for five generations. As to solutions, I've offered more than my share. The real problem is that conservatives don't understand how freedom works to solve social problems well enough to sell the idea to the ignorant. I'm working on that now.
