MAYOR Bloomberg has decided to write a check for more than $300,000 so his re-election campaign won't have to contest the summonses it got for plastering the city with more than 4,000 illegal posters.
"The decision has been made to pay all that," one mayoral aide said last week.
The mayor's campaign had been positioning itself to challenge at least some of the 4,218 summonses that poured in between Aug. 10 and Nov. 9.
