They are not all translated yet. You want a partial story?

I think the whole story will be more damaging to the dems.

And I think it will be more beneficial to the '08 elections than it will be to midterms.

Many voters in state elections vote on local issues.

People who vote in Presidential elections are more heavily swayed by world events.

If the admin had a slam dunk story with these docs, they would have already released them. I would rather trust Bush/Cheney to know when they should be released and will be the most effective than a reporter who just wants a story.

And I think THAT is why Bush is content to play the long game of history.

Yes. One of the lessons that Bush got from his father was "don't peak too soon." (i.e. by the time of 1992 elections, the 1990 gulfwar was forgotten).

What will this kind of proof do to the European peoples opinions of their governments?
------
This was common knowledge, and it was proven (especially in the case of France) that they were heavily complicit in SUPPORTING Saddam's den-of-horrors. Maybe it is high-time that the Euros got a snoutfull of what their slimey socialist governments are all about...IMHO, that would help the U.S. position greatly, since the complicit leaders in the EU, have been such detractors of the U.S. (just to keep the eyes off of their complicity).

I still feel much more good, than bad, would have come out of immediate AND FULL DISCLOSURE for us and our allies in the fight against Islamic terror.

Is there a pinglist for Iraq documents? If so, please add my name.

Even when we do find hard evidence, the left will stick to 'but you can't PROVE they did 9-11' for a while longer.

Its a weak point, and even that might be blown out of the water if the connections are strong enough, but I'm sure thats what they WILL do.

If this plays out the way I pray it plays out, the Democrats will lose seats in the mid-term elections.

I doubt it takes a human being to make all the translations. I assume, based on my personal experience in the intel community, that language translation programs are being used along with other computer hardware and software. Keyword searches can flag documents for in-depth analysis. Any action generates reams of paperwork as the CYA syndrome common to bureaucrats of all nationalities comes into play. That leads to grouping of documents according to ranking interest. At some point, human interface has to put the peices together and make judgements. The public will never know just how smart and dedicated our intel folks are because they must hid their light. They do not need a hundred years to get the job done. The problems are politicians, foreign and domestic,
with personal agendas to protect. Waiting until ALL documents are processed is a big mistake. There are many heads to this snake. Cut them off as quickly as they are found.
