What an utterly lame basis for a national defense; the Iranians believe exactly the same thing out of their book.

Fortunately, Israel has a well-trained military, motivation and lots of great weapons - they don't have to rely on just the oooga-booga.

They are the only group of people in the history of the world that have been singled out by God as His chosen people...I'd say that makes them pretty special...

Sorry, yes they are. The OT says explicitly that they are the "apple of God's eye." He will deal with them the way He sees fit, which is detailed very well in all the prophetic books of both the OT and NT. Otherwise, I agree w/your comment.
