That Bush statement came at the same time the National Security Agency was engaging — at the president's direction — in warrantless eavesdropping on Americans.

So, we have to get approval from the black-robed bureaucrats?

Say, I got an idea...why don't we all just tie our own hands and feet and give the keys to the White House to Osama. Won't that be fun?

After watching the antics of the Congresscritters over the last 6 years...I do NOT want the CIC to have to get permission from any of those people to secure my country.

It probably takes them half a day to figure out where to get "take-out"...could you imagine having to go to them for a split second decision on ANYTHING???

Let's set up a pool. Determine how many more terrorist attacks, large or small, have to occur before the Left will actually wise up. How many nuclear detonations, dirty bombs, chemical or biological weapons attacks have to occur? How many moms, dads, brothers, and sisters have to be blown apart in shopping malls by suicide bombers? How many American kids need to be blown apart in schools? How many disembodied little arms and legs do we need to see first-hand or on the evening news before these self-loathing pukes on the Left will finally end the disconnect and get in the game?

My bet is it will take a number of dreadful attacks on American soil that go well into double-digits before they get a clue.
