I know the record of John McCain. I'll respect his service, but that doesn't make his sh!t gold. In fact, like Kerry, I see very little I like in McCain at all. He should take his act on the road and run with Hillary...and he probably would if asked.

You say you'll respect his service? Allow me to refresh your memory on what you posted earlier.

Methinks McCain either got exceptional care by the NVA and he's hiding it, or he was their boy after the first interrogation.

Insinuating that McCain collaborated with the enemy is an odd way of showing your respect. I have spoken to and have been trained by several POWs from Vietnam. When specifically asked about collaborators they only mention two people and not by name. One committed suicide upon returning to the States and the other leads a reclusive life in New England. I have never heard any of them criticize McCain's performance.

Many on this forum fall into the trap of unfairly criticizing people's honor and integrity instead of their mistaken political ideas. McCain is so screwed up in so many ways it's not funny. The MSM call him a maverick for breaking left from the GOP when what he is really doing is taking the easy way out. It is not politically courageous to insist on humane treatment for terrorists. It is not courageous to be wishy washy on the 2nd amendment. Both these are examples of riding the fence for the next presidential election.

If you want to criticize his integrity, instead of making up stuff from Vietnam, why not try something more clear cut like the Keating Five scandal.
