I've been thinking about private/public wealth. Say you had a great idea. An idea that made every one in the country want your product. Over the years you parlayed that into a giant corporation with plants all over the country and thousands of employees. You amass an astonishing fortune of $350,000,000.

With you entire enormous fortune you could buy islands in the Caribbean, Castles in Spain, precious jewels, but with all this vast wealth you still could not afford to build the MLK memorial the Feds want to spend $400,000,000 on in DC.

I would imagine the graft level on public works projects is astonishingly high. Anything over 90% would surprise me a little, though.

Sounds like the perfect boondoggle---no one dare criticize it for fear of being labeled a heartless racist. But I would like the get nore info about this. Can you inform me?
