I've always said, a good soldier is THE LAST person who ever wants to see or experience war; therefore when confronted with no other option, kick butt quickly, take no names, and get back home quickly and safely.
Funny thing. It's always the civilian leaders that start the wars, then it's the serviceman / servicewoman that winds up paying a heavy price even though they never may ever receive a scratch in the performance of their duties.

Thanks for your kind comments. I, too, was born in the FRG, at Landstuhl Army Hospital. My Dad was stationed in the Air Force then at Bamberg AFB(now closed, I believe), not too far from Ramstein. I spent 17 years as a military brat, so it was a pretty natural transition for me.
