"Why wait?"

Well, I wasn't suggesting that. My only point was that these nimrods won't insist on it's release now, and they don't appear to have the gumption to fight back until it's nearly too late, whatever the cause celebre. They give the Dems and the MSM months to spin, deceive and shape the opinion of those who only marginally pay attention, then try to mount a lame defense, if any at all.

Look what they did in the early days of the "nuclear option." For months, the Dems & the MSM mischaracterized that and the history of the filibuster to the point that otherwise intelligent, reasonable people began to think that this was all about eliminating the filibuster entirely and squelching dissent.

Regarding the Barrett report: Release it now and let the Dems go on defense for a change. The only mentions it's going to get otherwise will be the occasional bleat that it was a partisan witch hunt. Let them deal with the content, not try to defuse it before the fact.

I, too have been wondering at the apparent timidity of the Republicans in Congress. Admittedly, the American public (at least the Moonbat contingent) has a very short memory when it comes to things like this, and might not 'remember' come election time, but the opportunity to hammer off chunks of the Clinton 'base' now seems too good to pass up.

All I keep thinking of are the 900+ FBI files when Republicans in Congress seem to shrink from letting the Rats have it.

So, the next question comes to mind. How many of the Republicans up there are compromised by what is in those files that they do not want to leak out? How many are being held in thrall by information which was supposed to remain confidential and was illegally acquired? Just whose files were stolen anyway?

Sometimes that seems the only logical explanation.

Maybe some house cleaning is needed on both sides of the aisle.

Maybe? ;)

What we need is a real grass roots fight like they did in PA after that raise the legislators gave themselves.

We have to start electing honest, courageous, competent people. Citizen-politicians. The days of the professional politico mediocrity are over. Finis.

Absolutely -- as is the case with the Abramoff(sp?) situation, let the chips fall where they may. Above all, I want honest representation, not same-old, same-old with a meaningless (R) after their names.

Unfortunately, I see little chance of the same standards being applied to both sides of the aisle. Similar shady behavior will be painted in the media with different brushes for the Dems and the Pubbies. Think Harry Reid is in any danger? No way, pure as the driven snow. Just ask the NYT.

My only hope is that our children are engaged and understanding what goes on. I'm showing mine...

>>>Good grief! Let it go already. They've been gone for 5 years now.<<<

Do you know why the police pursue criminals for years after the case has grown cold? Or why Nazi hunters still work on tracking down Nazis, sixty years after the fall of the Third Reich?

Because when you break the law, you break the law. Particularly heinous in this case is that elected officials threatened/forced/bribed people to keep silent about their lawbreaking... and one of these criminals has designs on the Presidency of the United States.

Wake up, dummy.

All a congressman has to do is leak it to the NYT.
Then they will run with it.

This is the kind of thing that I mean when I say that Republican and Democrat legislators are holding hands, walking in lockstep and sleeping in the same single space bed using each others shoulders to cry on while they sleep.

If we don't have at least 200 Republican Congressmen jointly signing the publication orders then WE MUST NOT RE-ELECT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM!

The entire current list of names in Congress are all liars, traitors to their Oath of Office in my eyes.

The fact that our Presidentand the Republican Senators haven't pushed the Republican Congressmen to publish the entire report shows me that they fall under the same catagory as those in Congress.

We do not have a two party system in our government! What more does it take to prove this to America? How long must we live a lie?
