Thelma and Louise was really one of the most unintentionally hilarious movies ever made. It's the story of two complete fools who go on a simple fishing trip and make such a mess of things in a couple of days that they can see no alternative but to commit suicide, even though it was sold as some kind of great celebration of womens' liberation. I've always said that, if the Islamists had any sense of humor, it would be one of the best available pieces of misogynistic propaganda they could find to support their cause.
