He did the right thing, imo. Chivalry. Love it. :o)
Can't blame Davis in the least.
He saw a drunken fan harassing and touching his wife. His reponse was more measured than mine would've been.
Mine would have done the same thing!
If all this is how it is explained in the article, I applaud him for protecting his wife, and applaud again for him acting right by not punching the guy when he got up there.
The league would be absolutely foolish to do anything besides commending this man for coming to the rescue of his family. That is his number one job. Period.
would have done the same thing. no one messes with your family.
A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.....and that invloves protecting his family....good for him
Reminds me of a joke - I went to a boxing match last night and a basketball game broke out...
Maybe if he was paying more attention to what was happening on the court, the Knicks may have won the game.
This is all about Davis getting his mug on the news. Security would have stepped in and handled the fan sooner or later. Davis should have been focusing on his game.
I love hero stories! Good for him.
I wonder if the fan was confused and thought he was at a soccer game . . .
Sorry, but if I see someone verbally harassing and physically touching my wife, I ain't relying on security to get there "sooner or later".
I'd do the same thing at my job.
He handled himself well.
Absolutely. We should no more condone junk from the fans than we should Ron Artest-type behavior from the players.
Davis did the right thing, imho, and kept his cool throughout, then returned to the bench. He got there faster than security, protected his wife. I think his calm prevented an incident. His wife is one lucky woman, and his coach backs up his actions.
he handled himself as a gentleman- that is impressive. I take it that he got ejected for his behavior, as he should have as well, but I like that he acted anyway.

I've never heard of Mr. Davis, but he sure did the right thing. Good for him!
