In my post #35 to Liz, I pointed out that South Coast Plaza does not want to lose ANY business from it's share of a group that can afford to send $38 BILLION back home, you know, some of home are "working class born-American taxpayers" with Mexican parents who are footing social service bills too - I also posted THIS "remedy": How about increased border enforcement AND increased levels of legal immigration? That sounds like a healthy compromise. And, I do think that more needs to be done to assimilate those already here - that's what has made America great. Any more questions?

Once again, you're misplacing responsibility - the immigrants need to do more to assimilate themselves. That's what previous waves of immigrants did. I just don't get how we are suddenly the caretakers of all these immigrants. The nanny state mentality is proliferating (and it's not lost on the Hispanic community) and is one of the main things that is pulling this country down.

Increased enforcement? The Bush administration doesn't want increased enforcement, our "leader" doesn't even want to enforce the existing laws already on the books. He has lost all credibility on this issue.

You don't address the little item of the billions of dollars the millions of illegal aliens cost California every year.

We can't afford to support millions of third worlders. They need to go back to their own country and stop feeding off American taxpayers. Let them wait their turn and apply legally.

Why would you "compromise" with law breakers???
I just did my jury service a couple of weeks ago and I didn't see them compromising with the child molester.
