We've had the same kind of reduction-of-freedom law in Utah since about 1990. You can't get a keg without a state license.

Did it reduce underage drinking? Not that anyone's noticed. They just drink out of a bottle or can now instead of a plastic cup.

It did stop adults from having a keg of beer at company barbecues and family reunions though. I'm sure the fools in the legislature got some satisfaction out of that.

WOOHOO! Time to open a keg shop on I-20! Put one there and one in Rome ga.. We can get some of our firecracker money back!
