The 15 Minute Mom -- Jules Mosher -- defends traditional values in America's heartland
By Kevin Fobbs
What is the hardest job in America? Jules Mosher, The 15-Minute Mom, understands what it is because she is living it 24 / 7 and it comes with no salary, no training, and no time off.
"Being a conservative, traditional mom who is a businesswoman, a political activist and a Christian are not dirty words to say anymore in America," says Jules, co-host of the 15-Minute Mom segment on The Kevin Fobbs Show.
The war over traditional family values is real and moms are pressed into action daily. Every Christmas season sends these traditional Heartland moms into action and each time whether they are in Idaho, Michigan, Pennsylvania or Ohio they feel like they are isolated and alone. Several years ago Jules could see what hundreds of thousands of traditional moms were seeing and feeling across America...they were anxious, concerned, but wondered what exactly could they do to preserve their family, their children and America.
"Our frontlines are our living rooms and I knew we had to take action. Being a political activist in the Bush campaigns of 2000 and 2004 as well as a statewide activist in the international organization Protest Warrior was a good start, but I felt I could do more to help my children and our country," said Mosher.
She felt she was in a unique position to help because she was also a successful businesswoman and a writer who felt the needs and knew the issues that other traditional moms and businesswomen were saying and feeling. "The 15 Minute Mom weekly report has me reporting from the front lines and living rooms of America's Heartland," said Mosher.
Traditional moms often find themselves in the thick of it when liberal mothers size them up as conservative, ignore them when it comes time for PTA committee assignments, or just leave stem standing alone on the sidelines as if they were infected with some contagious disease. Mosher's seen it first hand. Some mothers from her children's school came to her place of business and told her that they wanted to give her a large piece of their liberal mind...sort of put her back in line discussion. They did not want her standing up for her children's rights as supporters of traditional values in school, like the Pledge of Allegiance ...too risky...might upset the four atheist parents in the school. Hasn't America seen enough of this behavior?
Then of course there was the recently banned school Christmas celebrations. Far too many schools across America saw this. Jules' children's school was no different. Christmas celebrations had to be nixed because it might have upset the Kwanza celebrants, gay parent couples, Hindu worshippers, ACLU life members and of course last but not least, the four atheists. So wrongheaded liberal politically correct mommy fascists fanatics felt that moms like Jules should stay behind the invisible "traditional mommy wall" and express no opinion that runs counter to "diversity" and remain mindless automatons who relish being barefoot and pregnant.
This type of behavior literally poisons the well of Democracy. It is incorrect, it is insulting, and the time for manhandling our nation's future is over. Traditional moms often times can see that their community's values are off kilter, when diversity is embraced at the expense of diminishing America's rich traditional heritage. Of course it is wrong and is nothing more than an outdated ACLU attempt to marginalize and minimize millions of traditional moms by putting a stake in the heart of their children's future.
Jules felt the same and could not remain silent. "I care deeply about the issues that hurt children, my family, the community I live in and this nation. So I got involved and, like millions of mothers across America, I stay involved whether it is as an Ohio regional leader of Protest Warrior," she stressed, "or as a citizen who believes in standing up for our nation by protecting our borders," as she does as a member of the Michigan Ontario Neighborhood Border Watch, a part of the American Canadian Conservative Coalition.
She adds, "I firmly believe every mother in America can find 15 minutes out of each day to begin a project, make calls, send out emails, contact clients, and still build time in for herself, even if it is only 15 minutes. I do that and work every day to teach my children the Heartland values that I was raised with and the same traditional values that our founders built this nation on. In our family we find time for daily prayer because it is our family's building block. There is always time for that."
Traditional moms must tackle the hard issues that affect their daily lives. They like Jules must be vigorous in going after the online predators who hide in the darkness and use the internet to mask their horrible intentions. The 15 Minute Mom will work to create conservative parent groups at their children's schools, to help their children prepare for tomorrow's challenges by involving parents and even their kids today.
Jules believes that every mom in America can be The 15 Minute Mom in her family because traditional moms want to reach out as well as allow other traditional moms to link arms and prevent their children from receiving inappropriate reading material in school that openly and unapologetically deals with sex education, including same sex marriage and gay rights, or prevent attempts to take away discussion of the Bible even as reading material in a classroom.
"We want to help the countless families of traditional moms understand they do not walk alone on their pathway. We will stand up together for all of our children and show how all moms and parents can proudly cherish our nation's traditional family values by learning easy steps and sharing tidbits that can turn observation into action...to preserve our children's future.
America's Heartland clock is ticking in this Culture War and our nation's children will inherit a whirlwind of sorrow unless Traditional American families become empowered every day by putting traditional family values into direct action now. The Culture War is on and America must win it!

I wish! From my experience, once people find out that I'm a SAH homeschool mom without a "real" job I become everybody's babysitter, errand runner and all-around dumping ground. "Marie will do it! She's not busy." I've learned the hard way to lay down the law fast.
I say mean things like: "I homeschool my kids and that takes time. Don't call me before 3PM unless there's blood. Don't stop by unless there's blood." "You wouldn't interrupt your child's class to pull her teacher aside for a chat and coffee. Nobody is interrupting my class either." "I don't care if you're tired and busy. I'm freakin' tired an busy, too. I will NOT be making 30 brownies for your son's Scout troop. That's *your* job."
I don't mind helping someone who's in a serious bind, but I was a real Milquetoast and I ended up neglecting my own family to care for everyone else's. A mother should be a mom first and she should see that this is what *I'm* trying to do!
You go girl! Your hubby and kids are very fortunate.
And someday the kids will agree with you! LOL!
