Which is exactly what Clinton would have argued. I love Jack, but we must always keep in mind that the line between protecting others and acting out of self interest soon gets blurred, which is precisely why we are a nation of laws.

Well, when protecting someone's rights means that a few million people are going to die then I guess that person is just going to have to get over it. In season 2 he threatens to kill a terrorist's family if he won't tell Jack what he wants to know. Sorry Camel Humper but your kids die before mine do. Yet, there are those who say we have to operate by a different playbook.
The point is that we have laws that hinder our ability to protect ourselves from certain threats. We saw it throughout the 90's and even today.
