Got to see Wishbone Ash AND Quicksilver at a two day concert at Pitt Stadium in 1972. Roy Buchanan and the Chamber's Brothers were there too. I was SO effing glad that I went. Quicksilver started with "Cobra" and Dino was pounding away on two giant conga drums about three feet high. The first words out of his mouth were "Come on, people"!
Damn, talk about a one-two punch! Man I saw some great shows in the late 60s-early 70s. People nowadays have no idea what live rock really is. Certainly not like the overblown productions behind under-talented performers. Rock is music, NOT entertainment, if you get my meaning.
