"can't afford them"
by whose budgetary definitions?
God gave me 5 children and I've never looked back - never once considered whether I could afford them.
I don't have a $500,000 home or brand-new cars and nobody starves.
"afford" can be defined all over the place. Today, so many material needs trump the spiritual ones.
God can create paths and opens doors ...
Yes. There is not a question of not affording or not taking care of etc...
Many people here are as liberal as the libs in their own way -- they are part of this society as well -- and they distort and make fun what is being said (which is a example of the perpetual adolescence being discussed).

Are you on welfare? Then you can't afford children.
Too many children these days are raised in poverty. You can't deny that. Children DO go hungry in this country. I myself had only 3. I would have loved to have a bigger family, but didn't think I had the financial means to take good care of more so I stopped at 3. If your children are well fed, clothed and cared for (which I feel certain they are!), then you can be very proud of yourself. It ain't easy!
