Somehow I think this article is missing a big part of his statement. At least it seems so.
He does have a point, in that there are many people who are sexually active either within a marriage or outside of marriage - and the last thing they are thinking of is having a child. And, heaven forbid!, if they should conceive a baby, they then seek to get rid of it. Isn't this the problem in the western world, which is why Europe is being overrun with Moslems??????
I agree with him and there are two components to this. On a personal level I don't think it's possible to fully experience life without children. I think children suffer from not having brothers and sisters.
The second component is the public one. A society that does not have children is going to be replaced by one that does. The society that replaces us may decide not to honor the promises we made ourselves when WE were in charge. And, any couple who plans on getting their social security should plan on having enough children to pay for it. (Sorry I tried but didn't make it).
