Depends on the method of birth control.

Birth control is not the wilful destruction of human life, so it is not murder.
It is, however, the refusal to consent to God's will. God desires that marriage leads to sex and sex leads to children.
Incidentally, the command to procreate is the first one given to Mankind after the fall of Adam, "Be fruitful and multiply."

The progesterone in birth control pills creates a thick cervical mucus making it difficult for sperm to reach the uterus. It also impedes an egg from attaching itself to the uterine lining (endometrium) because of changes in the cellular structure of the lining.

"Is birth control a form of a abortion"? All birth control is not abortion, but many use abortion as a form of birth control.
