I was tapped once. I didn't realize it until later because I was too dense to know what was happening. The only reason I can think is that I was engaged to a Canadian journalist and during the first Iraq war, I asked him once what he was hearing that wasn't making the papers. And he told me. If your phone was "tapped" and you find out out( or figured it out) then it was a sloppy job. Odds are you weren't a intended target and it wasn't the U.S. Govt doing it. I bet it was a private investigator who tapped into the wrong line.
