It's a shame that we have to take the time to respond to these liars.
But we don't.
Why dignify this nonsense with any response? It is simply a device to force their opposition onto the defensive and, thus, change the subject and alter the debate.
But if one feels the need to respond, a better response would be more along the lines of "So? What of it?"
