Pray for President Bush - Day 1936

Galations 3: 27-28
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ;
have put on Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male nor female;
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

TOPICS: Culture/Society; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: praise; pray; presidentbush; thanksgiving; troops; unity; victory
Holy Father,

How pleasant and fitting it is to praise You! You heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds. You determine the number of the stars, and call them each by Name. Great are You, our Lord, and mighty in power. Your understanding has no limit. We are confident that You delight in those who fear You, and those who put their hope in Your unfailing love.

Our prayers today are for our beloved nation---established according to Your laws and truths, and now besieged by those who want to subvert that heritage. O Lord, we can point the finger at judges, at Congress, at immigrants, and institutions, but we must accept part of the blame ourselves. Too often we have remained silent and have not spoken in defense of Your teachings. We have allowed the most vocal to speak loudly while we ourselves have kept silent in the safety of our homes, immersed in our routines. Like Peter, we have denied You. Even though we love You, we have frequently chosen the acceptance of the world rather than the pleasing of You, our God. Forgive us, Lord. Make us strong in You and in the power of Your might. Help us to stand up for that which is good and right, just and true.

We pray for unity within the Body of Christ where there is no recognition of race or gender. We pray for an end to social injustice on all sides, and ask that You would help each of us to see others with the eyes of our Savior, acknowledging that You have created all men and women in Your image. We confess that we have been called unto liberty, and that You ask us to serve one another in love.

Grant a week of victory to our President, Father, and may he live and walk in the Spirit, seeking the guidance of Your still, small voice. We confess that our President is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You have before ordained that he should walk in them. Perfect everything that concerns him, Lord, and make his burden light as he safely trusts in You. Be a shield around Laura and Barbara as they continue their African visit, and make them ambassadors of Your peace.

Father, we think about our troops this week and all those who have fought so bravely for freedom in this nation. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for their selfless acts of love and devotion to their fellow man. We ask for Your highest blessings upon them and Your powerful protection over them. Keep them from discouragement, Father, and may they be blessed with energy and firm resolve as they complete their missions.

Gracious and compassionate God, bless Your people who pause here to pray. Help us to worship You throughout each day and tell others of the power of Your awesome works. Grant us Your peace as we celebrate Your loving providence and Your mighty blessings upon this grateful nation. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

There are a good many problems before the American people today, and before me as President, but I expect to find the solution to those problems just in the proportion that I am faithful in the study of the Word of God. - Woodrow Wilson

AMEN FAITH!

"The Messiah shall be cut off, but not for himself."
- Daniel 9:26

Blessed be his name, there was no cause of death in him. Neither original
nor actual sin had defiled him, and therefore death had no claim upon him.
No man could have taken his life from him justly, for he had done no man
wrong, and no man could even have lain him by force unless he had been
pleased to yield himself to die. But lo, one sins and another suffers.
Justice was offended by us, but found its satisfaction in him.
Rivers of tears, mountains of offerings, seas of the blood of bullocks,
and hills of frankincense, could not have availed for the removal of sin;
but Jesus was cut off for us, and the cause of wrath was cut off at once,
for sin was put away for ever.
Herein is wisdom, whereby substitution, the sure and speedy way of
atonement, was devised! Herein is condescension, which brought Messiah,
the Prince, to wear a crown of thorns, and die upon the cross! Herein is
love, which led the Redeemer to lay down his life for his enemies!

It is not enough, however, to admire the spectacle of the innocent
bleeding for the guilty, we must make sure of our interest therein. The
special object of the Messiah's death was the salvation of his church;
have we a part and a lot among those for whom he gave his life a ransom?
Did the Lord Jesus stand as our representative? Are we healed by his
stripes? It will be a terrible thing indeed if we should come short of a
portion in his sacrifice; it were better for us that we had never been
born. Solemn as the question is, it is a joyful circumstance that it is
one which may be answered clearly and without mistake.
To all who believe on him the Lord Jesus is a present Saviour, and upon
them all the blood of reconciliation has been sprinkled.
Let all who trust in the merit of Messiah's death be joyful at every
remembrance of him, and let their holy gratitude lead them to the fullest
consecration to his cause.

Joining you in prayer.

Pardon me, your epidermis is showing
I couldn't help but note your shade of melanin
I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement
Cause I see (the) beauty in the tones of our skin

We gotta come together, and thank the Maker of us all

We're colored people, and we live in a tainted place
We're colored people, and they call us the human race
We've got a history so full of mistakes
And we are colored people who depend on a Holy Grace

A piece of canvas is only the beginning
It takes on character with every loving stroke
This thing of beauty is the passion of an artist's heart
By God's design, we are a skin kaleidoscope

We gotta come together, aren't we human after all?

Ignorance has wronged some races
And vengeance is the Lord's
If we aspire to share this space
Repentance is the cure

Well, just a day in the shoes of a color blind man
Should make it easy for you to see
That these diverse tones do more than cover our bones
As part of our anatomy

We're colored people, and we live in a tainted place
We're colored people, and they call us the human race
We've got a history so full of mistakes
And we are colored people who depend on a Holy Grace

21:25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?

But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.

21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

21:28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.

21:29 ille autem respondens ait nolo postea autem paenitentia motus abiit 21:29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
21:30

accedens autem ad alterum dixit similiter at ille respondens ait eo domine et non ivit 21:30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

21:31 quis ex duobus fecit voluntatem patris dicunt novissimus dicit illis Iesus amen dico vobis quia publicani et meretrices praecedunt vos in regno Dei 21:31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country:

21:34 cum autem tempus fructuum adpropinquasset misit servos suos ad agricolas ut acciperent fructus eius 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it.

21:35 et agricolae adprehensis servis eius alium ceciderunt alium occiderunt alium vero lapidaverunt 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.

21:36 iterum misit alios servos plures prioribus et fecerunt illis similiter 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.

21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

21:39 et adprehensum eum eiecerunt extra vineam et occiderunt

21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him.

21:40 cum ergo venerit dominus vineae quid faciet agricolis illis

21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

21:41 aiunt illi malos male perdet et vineam locabit aliis agricolis qui reddant ei fructum temporibus suis

21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

21:42 dicit illis Iesus numquam legistis in scripturis lapidem quem reprobaverunt aedificantes hic factus est in caput anguli a Domino factum est istud et est mirabile in oculis nostris

21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

21:43 ideo dico vobis quia auferetur a vobis regnum Dei et dabitur genti facienti fructus eius

21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

21:46 et quaerentes eum tenere timuerunt turbas quoniam sicut prophetam eum habebant

21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet."

This is for you today.....Thank you all

"Eto fore be humble have love, faith, infore hope in His Majesty, etore due: love one another, due your home is with Majesty Holy Throne."
