God bless the people who are willing to get out of the boat. They will not be the only ones if things continue the way they are going with all the mainline denominations. There is a huge split already "within" the United Methodist Church. The dissenting group are trying to work within the system to gain control like the SBC did some years ago.

Just as the Communists used stealth to slowly infiltrate our government, the school system, the media, and many other basic institutions of our society, they have also infiltrated the churches. They are very big on adopting deceptive names and titles for their organizations. The National Council of Churches, the ACLU, the NAACP, to name just a few.
Churches, especially those with a hiacrclical structure like the major denominations, are the spiritual cousins of their non-spiritual opponents, the Communists. They both claim to seek almost the same thing - to benefit mankind.
The difference is that the churches implore you to adopt their doctrine voluntarily and to follow it voluntarily. The Communist, or the Anti-Christ, deceives you as to their doctrine and then force you to follow it.
For the churches, the punishment for not agreeing with them is eternal damnation and death. For the Communist, who are not quite so patient, it is prison, slave labor and death in the here and now.
