Which makes it a 'he said/he said' situation. Without documentary evidence or further corroboration to cast doubt on Murtha's situation, it doesn't appear there is anything further to pursue in this matter at the present time.

The documentary evidence and corroboration aren't going to just fall out of the sky, like manna from heaven, they will have to be sought. And they should be, without making any further public accusations, but relentlessly pursued they should be.

He said she said, is not the case. The situation can be corroborated or not by witnesses.
The point is honesty and integrity. Does he possess such qualities? I do recall writing long ago about disagreeing with him but allowing the first amendment allowed him his thoughts on the Marine involvement in the “killing of innocent civilians”. This man not only speaks without thinking but, I believe, he speaks “politicianese” in that do what you must to get reelected, make money for yourself (ABSCAM), and look good to the folks at home.
