"By numbers alone", based on the current US population, and the number of Democrat-voting citizens, from the agreeable logic that the Democrats are a threat to America's interests(a la Klington) and by your logic, America has more enemies in itself, than in India.
" In 2005, we spent $20 million on direct eductional assistance to Pakistan and $1.5 Billion in total military related aid and "compensation." Tell me it makes sense."
2005 was also a year when we were fighting a war. ..
i seriously doubt every democrat hates america. They may be misguided but hate america is a rather harsh term for every single one of them. Zell miller is a democrat as is joe liberman. Many dems voted for Reagan (sure that was some time back) many may also switch parties. Simply being a democrat does not not make one anti american, it is the stupid things some of the do that makes them anti american.
I am amazed you even posted that. This is FR and we hate liberals here, but it is foolish to think that. If there were an election between a Zell Miller type of Democrat and a Olympia Snowe type of Republican, who do you think will have more supporters on FR? Simply put, the republic needs more than one party. Even if right now the other party is run by a bunch of losers, that does not make every single member of the party anti american (as i showed with the two examples above). Some people are democrats because its a family tradition (see Zell Miller).
Have you been reading the news about the virulent anti-US protests in Pak. right now? Don't put too much trust in Musharaff - the man was the godfather of the ISI (which created the Taliban).
Yeah but CarrotAndStick's point is still valid...if you are going to take street protests by lunatic leftists in W. Bengal as an indicator of India's friendliness toward America (while ignoring ground realities), you should be prepared to use the same logic w.r.t. the dimocrats.
It was'nt Indians who abused Vietnam Vets after they returned from their service in the 60s and 70s. You may be better of worrying about the fifth column in this country instead of worrying about a friendly nation.
Wow. I'm impressed by the depth of your intellect!

Leave minus_273 alone......surely you don't mind some wishful thinking and twisted logic here and there /sarc
It is amusing to see how the anti-India crowd on FR considers Pakistan to be a better friend of the US compared to other counties in the neighborhood. With "friends" like these....
The enemy today and for the next century will be radical Islam and no Muslim nation will ever be a true ally. Weapons sales to Pakistan need to be below a certain threshold and I'm afraid that threshold has been breached.
"It was'nt Indians who abused Vietnam Vets after they returned from their service in the 60s and 70s"
Granted that is true. I doubt many indians were on our side. Would you agree with that?
are you seriously arguing for a one party dictatorship? do you even understand how american democracy works?
and it is not so much anti indian, it is simply remembering a loyal friend and not trusting a nation which has repeatedly worked against the US. The same congress party led by a gandhi runs india as the one that ran india when it was an enemy of the US. I trust pakistan before i trust india simply because history speaks for itself. No matter how much you dislike it, you can't change history.
Like the first WTC bombing that was carried out by Paki nationals? Sorry...you'll have to try again. You'll find no parallel of Indian citizens attacking their host country unlike Pakis in USA, UK, and elsewhere.
Looks like you have to learn some history before you comment on topics you know little about.
" If you are really interested and are intellectually honest, you wouldn't be making such points."
seriously, thats quite a way of debating. Since you cant refute what i am saying, i am no longer informed or intellectually honest. Brilliant! somehow i am not surprised you posted that. Sadly, that was also the response i expected. It takes a bigger man than you to admit they are wrong.
I dont get your final bit esp considering i have been on FR longer than you have. I do like how you've called me "Ali" though. I guess that was intended to be some sort of derogatory comment. It's an interesting assumption, considering i am not even close to being a muslim or pakistani.
Name calling: always a sure bet to lose a debate.
Don't expect any more replies from me. You stopped being civil with that last bit.
