Canada has been well served by 12-plus years of Liberal rule.If your standards are lower than a snake's belly.
Despite what the opposition parties would have us believe, it has not been all scandal and nest-feathering.
And Hitler made the trains run on time. I don't think they really want to go there.

Exactly!
... but this is huge for us up here & akin to the NY Slimes throwing in the towel in a U.S. Presidential election prior to Halloween!
The rest is just typical msm crap, sour grapes & self-justicication.
Somewhat surprised the Mope & Wail didn't come out and claim the election was somehow "stolen" - as it doubtless believes - LOL!

Unemployment then stood at 11.2 per cent. Today, it is 6.5 per cent. An average mortgage rate was 8.78 per cent. Now it is 5.99 per cent, making home ownership affordable for hundreds of thousands more Canadians. The national debt has fallen from 66.5 per cent of gross domestic product to 38.7 per cent. Taxes are down; our standard of living is up.
All of which can be attributed to the American economic engine, not your stupid liberal party. You might as well give them credit for the sun coming up.

The Toronto Red Star continues to publish anti-Harper editorials though...take a look at their website for two of them. I'm sure they will endorse the Librano sinking ship (although if I were them, I would endorse the NDP because of that).

What is going on in BC?
Any news on a replacement PC candidate?
The PC site said to be announced.
I read the NDP candidates latest there and he says people should buy local fruit and he wants protections against imported fruit.
This guy is most likely on his way to Ottawa unless the PC can step up and hit a homer there.
To: concrete is my business
The NDP guy WILL be elected in Southern Interior, make no mistake.
The Green might beat out Zeisman.
The Liberal? Hard to say.

I agree with you. Zeisman turned a winnable riding into a dismal result with his relevations.
Thankfully Harper took it head-on, saying that if he wins (which he won't), he'll be an independent...
To: Heartofsong83
Not just a winnable riding, but one that is now PC.
Harper will have to take 2 other ridings to get ahead.

Just think of what would have happened if our two governments would have been pure conservative? As it is, Canada is like a big ball and chain, and we are dragging them along, with them sometimes kicking and screaming along the way.
The conservative prosperity slops all over them in spite of thier efforts to stop it thru their idiotic liberalism.

Yeah - Paul Martin taking credit for the economy is as sickening as watching Clinton taking credit for Bush I's efforts in this regard. Fortunately, he hasn't taken credit for inventing the internet...

Well they ought to know.
The Libs live and breathe on push polls.
I am not believing the polls either.
They were way far wrong the last time out.
If Harper gets to 40% and holds then I will believe he for sure has a minority.
I am a skeptic only because I hate getting burned again.
To: concrete is my business
The polls were never this good the last time. At most, the Conservatives had a 5 point lead over the Liberals in 2004. That lead evaporated in the last week.
I'm not surprised the Globe & Mail endorsed the Conservatives - their coverage has been slanting that way over the past few weeks. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I think this is the last nail in the Liberals coffin. Stick a fork into them. They're done. Time is running out.
