A judge approved a settlement last year, and Hardy accepted a $4.95 million check in July.

$4.95 million will buy a lot of land here in Texas full of more deer and turkeys than he ever saw in Florida.

No kidding... and for that money, he could move the little clapboard house onto it if he wanted...

That said, I sympathize with loving a place.

I was thinking the same thing in northern MI he could buy maybe 1/8 of Montmorency County - more deer and turkeys one could imagine. Throw in Bald eagles, Black bears, largest elk herd east of the Mississippi, bobcats, swamps, a lake or two with rivers off a small mountain, maybe even an Indian casino for income...
