If Democrats delay final action past January 20th, he will cancel the recess for the week of January 23rd which he had previously scheduled ...

Just when is the Senate going to deal with debate and negotiation on the PATRIOT Act? What's with the week off?

LOL...isn't it just like Congress...they come back from a month off for the holidays...

only to take a week off a week after they get back!!!

Frist needs to at the very least start making a senate schedule that is 5 days a week (full days)...the hearing on the NSA "scandal" is supposed to start the first of Feb...

They are still talking about Katrina...plus like you said, there is the Patriot Act...and illegal immigration that they are supposed to get to right away.

They will put off the Patriot act until May when it is on the verge of expiration. Then, they will extend another 6 months.

Fools for Senators is what we got.

In any case, it would be so patently childish for DemocRATS to delay the committee vote on Alito. I won't bet against it. But, will giggle at their stupidity and juvenile idiocy.

Yeh...how much do these Senate clowns get paid? Didn't they just come back from the Christmas/holiday recess? The senate is filled with worthless egotistical arrogant blowhards anyway. Our taxes pay their bloated salaries and benefits too. The senate sucks bad.
