when they say K-9... do they really mean K-9 as in the old German Dog Training Rating System or is K-9 a kind of generic term now for a Military/Police WorkingDog???

Are you all sure about that?
I don't know what an "old" German system is - working or police, but there is no such thing that I know of in my lifetime. Which isn't saying too much, but I know of no Schutzhund-related things having to do w/"K" anything. Unless it's just strictly police, or something from long ago.
