I went to google news to find other news reports of this air strike. Every doggone headline fails to mention anything about Al Qaeda terrorists; all they talk about is 18 dead civilians/villagers. Grrrr!
The Associated Press reports:
Air strike on Pakistani village kills at least 17
Local legislator blames U.S. , but Pentagon denies link to incident
DAMADOLA, Pakistan Weeping villagers dug through the rubble of homes destroyed today in a pre-dawn air strike that doctors said killed at least 17 people in a remote Pakistani tribal area, the second deadly strike in a week near the Afghan border. Sahibzada Haroon ur Rashid, a local legislator from a hardline Islamic party, claimed it was a U.S. air strike opposite a region of Afghanistan where Islamic militants are active. But the U.S. military denied knowledge of the incident. Residents of Damadola, a hillside hamlet about six kilometres inside northwestern Pakistan, said children and women were among the dead. ....

does anyone here think the RATS will be happy about this if it is confirmed to be true? They will lament that his death just created a thousand more Zawahiris. We should just leave them be!

Yes, Mam. He did just appear in a video that some of the "terrorist experts" thought might have been the "go" signal.
I feel bad praying for the death of someone.........but, in this case, I feel justified.

"May" means the reporter has no idea what he's talking about. No. It means the reporter actually used the same terminology his/her intelligence sources were using.

Major U.S. attack may have killed ZawahriAl-Qaidas top operating officer believed to be at target site in PakistanBy Jim Miklaszewski

NBC News
Updated: 7:28 p.m. ET Jan. 13, 2006
U.S. officials told NBC News on Friday that American airstrikes in Pakistan overnight Thursday were aimed at the No. 2 man in the al-Qaida terror organization Ayman al-Zawahri.
One official said intelligence indicated a strong possibility that Zawahri was in the Pakistani village at the time of the airstrike, but there is no confirmation that he was killed.
Pakistani officials say U.S. aircraft, apparently CIA Predator drones, fired as many as 10 missiles at the residential compound.

In which case, if they are important people, their bodies will be gone by dawn. Do you really believe we have complete imbeciles running this show, that they would not make every effort to secure such a valuable strike zone?

Seems like a lot of stuff is popping up since that video. The NSC leak and flapdoodle, the Padilla switch to civilian court (think he ratted Zawahiri out in order for pleading to a lesser charge?), the massive cell phone purchase, etc.
Interesting how this stuff comes in spurts, isn't it?

OBL was killed a dozen times and is still breathing.<<< You don't know that. And I don't know its not true. The only one that may know (have known?) for sure is Ayman al Zawahiri.
The last somewhat credible report on bin Laden is that he is the temperature of Iranian dirt.....somewhere under it.
Now with Zawahiri & bin Laden maybe gone...who will send the MSM and Al Jazeera tapes? Stay tuned.
