You are lucky, not calculating mileage correctly or the EPA Sticker was low to begin with. Alternatively, these studies could be wrong but there are many and they support the position that hybrids do not achieve sticker mileage. Two of many are linked below and the second one mentions the Prius mileage as particularly low relative to the EPA sticker;

We've had one for 5 years, and ours is better than sticker.

I'll take our real world experience over anything I read.

My husband went 700 miles on 1 tank of gas. The tank holds 11 gallons.

That was the best we got. On average we get around 40-45 mpg. Sometimes it's up to 50, especially when I'm not driving. I like to crank up the heat or a/c.
