Moran always gets re-elected. But his district is lumpy with liberal employees of the federal government.
Moran got tired of trying to work for living, apparently, as a stockbroker at AG Edwards in Old Town Alexandria. He was the city's mayor when he was a broker. Then he ran for Congress back in 1990 and he's been there ever since.
Most of the people in my town think all history stopped in 1968. 70% of Alexandria is Democratic. All the school board members, all of the city councilors and the mayor are all Dems.
Incidentally, did you notice how Moran and Murtha applauded condescendingly when Sgt. Seavey mentioned his service in Afghanistan?
