Click here for a short clip of Sgt Mark Seavey addressing his Congressman at a Town Hall meeting carried by C-Span.
Same here in Michigan. If it wasn't for Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint, and Saginaw the entire state is red country.
On the positive side: the clip could be made into an effective TV commercial for a candidate running against John Murtha (PA) and Jim Moran (VA).
extricate: release from entanglement of difficulty.
That is so politics.
Politics isn't the solution. Politics is the problem.
The sport of entangling politicians. On a 1 to 10 scale the Sergeant nailed a 9.9. By default. The default/conditioned-response of the two congressmen discredited themselves. Had the Sergeant closed with a question I'd give him a ten. It was a great opportunity for him to close with any one of about a dozen logical and obvious questions put to the congressmen.
Thanks, great clip. They showed the clip tonight on the "Beltway Boys" on Fox News.
The sad part was after Sgt. Seavey finished speaking, Murtha ignored the comments and the Moderator moved on to the next questioner. I don't want to bad mouth Murtha for his service and his attitude toweards the troops, but that clip brought me pretty close.
This clip should be moved to Breaking News and stay there!
Thanks again for the post.
Wow, this is spectacular. A friend of mine just emailed the clip to me and I was wondering why I hadn't seen it on FR so I did a search.
This needs more play.
You just gotta love the looks on the congresscritters faces and then the one tries to down play it by saying that his statement wasn't in the form of a question. What a maroon..
Bump
I believe a different headline would get more attention to this thread. Is there any way you can change it?
Note to John Murtha:
We are going to destroy you sir...You are going to have great and deep regrets of the day you decided to become a traitor to your country. You are going to die a bitter, broken, despicable and friendless old man....remembered fondly by few, loved by few, and visited by few....
