I actually want them to fillibuster Alito. They seem not to be as good at Game Theory as they usually are. It really would hurt them a lot to do it, after their failure in the committee.
Me too. I'd welcome a chance to nuke the filibuster and get our STILL blocked Appellate nominees through finally. I say go for it Dems.

They filibuster, the GOP balks at nuke, the red state Dems and RINO's pay a price in election '06 as did Daschle as did deWine's son....Chafee has a primary challenger, it would be one more reason to vote for Laffey in the primaries. DeWine would be out in '06. The nelson's would be in trouble, go on down the list...After certain RINO's are rid of, and Rep gains against red state Dems, we have enough Reps to nuke a filibuster and get Alito after the elections.
So, yeah, filibuster Dems. I dare you to. Either way will eventually result in Alito and more Judges on court that respect the Constitution.
