Mel hasn't really made much of an impression in the Senate yet. I realize he is only a freshman member, but he is way too low profile.
I disagree with Sen. Schumer on practically everything, but he has the visibility of five average Senators combined. We need someone like Schumer on our team.
My memory is not very good lately for recalling specific incidents.
Sen. Martinez has gone against the President on several issues since his election. One of them was on off-shore drilling. He opposed the Energy Bill which called for drilling 150 miles off the Florida coast in the Gulf of Mexico.
He also made some statement about US troops in Iraq, but I can't recall the specifics.
I have some friends who could name you letter and verse. They are seriously disappointed in him.
