If I was a black person, I would be plenty steamed that the phrase "lower admission standards" is a synonym for admitting more blacks.
Besides, getting into college isn't as important as graduating from college. Studies show that lower admission standards put kids in positions in which they don't succeed. Many accepted into schools like Berkeley would have been better off starting at a junior college.

Or students who need help should repeat a year of school or go to summer school.

Putting a kid into colege who is not ready will often end his education.

It would be allot better to be a "PG" at another high school to learn how to read, write, and do math.

Sadly enough, the so called black leadership, has demanded the standards be lowered to admit more minorities to university.

Most schools now have a two tier system of classes which segregate the brightest students and allow those less qualified to take much easier classes.
