The toothless tiger will do nothing. Does Iran really care what the U.N. thinks? heh

Yeah this is a joke. The U.N. will take months/years to resolve this.

Israel won't wait that long. Will Bush wait that long?

This should be interesting to watch.

Europeans Say Iran Talks Reach 'Dead End'

GEIR MOULSON, Associated Press Writer

BERLIN - The British, French and German foreign ministers said Thursday that negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program had reached a "dead end" and the Islamic republic should be referred to the U.N. Security Council.

The ministers did not specify what action should be taken by the Security Council, which could impose sanctions. They called for a special session of the International Atomic Energy Agency to decide the referral.

The action came two days after Iran broke U.N. seals at a uranium enrichment plant and said it was resuming nuclear research after a two-year freeze.

Enriched uranium can be used as a fuel for both nuclear energy and nuclear weapons. Iran says its nuclear program is only for fuel.

No. They are intentionally confronting the UN to show the world exactly how much new clothing the emperor is wearing.

I believe Iran is the fourth largest supplier of oil to the world. Oil will go above $100 a barrel. No doubt about that. This will get very messy.

There was some interesting discussion a moment ago on Fox that it seems that Russia may withdraw support from Iran over the nuclear matter. Dunno how likely that is, but it would be a good move on Putin's part to even put such discussion on the table.

Russia should be just as concerned (in re: Chechnya) about Iranian nukes as everybody else is.

It will be interesting to see if sanctions come down and Iran turns off the oil spigot. Fill'er up!

IF there is no veto they will enact economic sanctions and military parts restrictions.

The Mullahs undoubtedly think they will get a boost from a rise in nationalism at home. I also wonder if they are crazy enough to launch attacks. They definitely will sponsor more terrorism in Iraq and elsewhere.

Ultimate questions are when will the nuke facilities be destroyed and when will there be regime change. And will it result from an all out war.

It is a big concern if Russia, Europe or the UN think it is a serious problem..
