[Question: if we could not find or shut down Iraq's mobile SCUDs then, what makes you think we would be able to find and shut down Iran's much greater number of mobile SCUDs and Silkworms, hidden over a much larger territory?]

I consider this consideration to have a weight of close to zero in terms of should we go to war or not (with the consideration of a dirty bomb or nuke in New York to be the highest after worrying about Russia's intentions - which as of this morning are no longer a worry to me). I am sure our special forces and indigenous forces have the destruction of fascist elements on that coastline well planned. This is the war that we've been waiting for and Al Qaeda has been planning for since 9-11. Al Qaeda is in Iran I believe and, despite the fact that Iran is Shiite, I believe the true evil lurks there that has to be faced.

Can someone post a map of Iran so we can see how pro-democracy forces can easily put entire areas of the country into places where fascists will need to worry about covering their own backs?

[the mad mullahs will be begging for mercy, laying on their backs waving white surrender flags and surrendering to passing UAVs.]

If I am wrong about my theory that the new president is deliberately exaggerating Iran's post 1979 policy in order to bring down quicker defeat of the entire mullahcracy (which he is not a part of), then he is still doing a very good job of exaggerating the Mullahcracy out of existence with what he is doing.

In other words, it really doesn't matter that he is, indeed, playing into our hands.

Nobody expects Hezbollah and the extremists to be surrending after 12 hours. It will take months to exterminate them all.

Now I know for sure that you are inhabiting dreamland. I was one of those special ops forces (officer, SEAL Team, 1980s, record by freepmail on request if you don't believe me.) If you think that we have hundreds of spare specops teams just sitting around waiting to go ashore in Iran to destroy 100 of mobile SCUD and Silkworm launchers before your fairy-tale 12 hour air campaign, you are on drugs. In case you have not heard, they are all rather busy lately with other commitments. And if we did have 100s of spare specops teams, if you think we're sending them ashore deep into Iran as part of a 12 hour easy victory campaign, I think you should do a reality check.
