Kate Michelman, The Public Face Of a Woman's Right to Privacy
WaPo ^ | 1/12/06 | Linton Weeks

Kate Michelman is the face of reproductive rights. It's a thin face with high cheekbones, dark eyes that can light up and a mouth with a corner that upturns at comic moments.

For a generation, Michelman, 63, has been at the forefront of one of this country's thorniest debates. She was president of NARAL Pro-Choice America from 1985 to 2004. She is scheduled to testify this week in opposition to the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. And she has written a new book, "With Liberty and Justice for All: A Life Spent Protecting the Right to Choose."

Last night several hundred friends and well-wishers showed up at the Woman's National Democratic Club near Dupont Circle for cheese, wine and a celebration Michelman's book and her mission. Guests included former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton and Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.).

She felt she could not have a fourth child while trying to raise the other three single-handedly. She attempted suicide. Then she decided to get an abortion.

If you can't kill yourself, might as well kill the kid!

Wonder why they don't call themselves "pro-murder of unborn babies"?

she has written a new book, "With Liberty and Justice for All: A Life Spent Protecting the Right to Choose."

Stable little grapenut, isn't she?

"I couldn't decide whether to kill me or the child. It wasn't an easy decision. I had to move my hair appointment either way. But I decided on the child instead of me"
"Much better, dear. Who would clean up?"
"Another cup of 'All About Me'?"
"Let's. Could you pass the Drama, please"

If you read the whole article, you find this gem. It says she: "Sleeps little. "If I get two or three hours a night I am lucky," she said."

That is total BS. That is a typical claim made by totalitarians or those who aspire to be totalitarians who try to make the rest of us stand in awe of them, thinking "how do they do it?". Total BS. And it shows yet again her true colors. Liar, witch.

My BS detector flared up when I read that too. Her idea of fun is organizing a Christmas tree benefit for charity? Yeah, right. She's a self-serving bag of wind, IMHO. Aren't they all?

A life wasted 'protecting the rights of women to have sex with men they don't want to have children with,' as Ann Coulter says. "Not exactly Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" (again Ann Coulter).

I have often wondered if people like her and others form these groups as a way to provide an income for themselves. They get large corporate donations and have to do very little work. Has anyone ever published what kind of salary she receives?

I find it odd that she went by the Church's teachings until she became pregnant a fourth time. And it was when it was inconvenient to have another child she decides to go against the church and have an abortion. It still goes today....if the child is wanted, it's a child. If not wanted, it's blob that can be disposed of. When are people going to open their eyes?

What does it say? Something like -- 'she provides a voice for those who don't have a voice and a brain for those who don't have a brain.' hahahah, something about that is so ridiculous. The libs don't have brains. And neither, by the way, do the little teeny BABIES whose brains are sucked out because their mothers are inconvenienced.

What a wasted life. And she studied Child Development? Then she surely knows about fetal development.

The best example of what the pro abortion crowd is *really* about is a quote from British "feminist" Julie Burchill from last year:

"Cherie Blair (Tony Blair's wife) can call herself a feminist all she likes, but any feminist worth her salt would have made a point of having a termination - on the NHS, naturally - when she got knocked up the last time. Famous women would rather admit to having been sexually abused as children than to having had a termination. Myself, I'd as soon weep over my taken tonsils or my absent appendix as snivel over my abortions! All five of them.I had a choice, and I chose life - mine."

Whine and cheese and I'd bet not too much celebrating.

Hell (AP) - Satan, in a prepared statement, says that a new level of hell for Kate Michelman is under construction. Details of the new level are not disclosed, but inside sources say that 'Hitler and Stalin's circle can't light a candle to this one.'

I remember watching Kate Michelman debate Bob Dornan on Crossfire many years ago...she frequently smiled and chuckled with Dornan when the debate lightened up. She always appeared to be the most "down to earth" of all of the radical pro-abortion activists ie. Smeal. Ireland ect.

What if Kate Michelman dies in her sleep tonight? What will she carry with her into eternity? She has done so much to advance the cause of evil, yet when I think of her like this, having to account for advancing the cause of the murder of unborn children, I find it hard to hate her, and instead just want to pray that she will repent. And all those who march under her noxious banner.

BINGO.... I often come out ahead in the abortion argument once I've proven that the "choice" is simply a matter of perception. I begin with the question of "would you have considered it murder had someone beaten you during your pregnancy (with the wanted child)The answer is invariably yes (so far) but if the child was unwanted then it's merely a blob. So, whether it's a baby or not depends on your perception. Well, how you feel doesn't make it a FACT. Confounds them every time.
