I see you have delved into the Kennedy family history also. Old Joe was like the proverbial Christmas fruitcake that FDR couldn't get rid of. The internet is a wonderful thing - I would not know the little I do about the Kennedy family without it.
Old Joe really had to crank to get his son John out of a certain Court Martial for allowing his PT Boat to have the distinction of being the only one in the War that was run over by an enemy vessel. Something about having no night watch, being dead in the water etc.
