"I love the Sam's Club sign!"
Kind of like a Snow Flake.
Don't know if she advised her or they just spoke together beforehand, but if memory serves is that not Judge Alito's sister which would make her the Mrs.'s sister-in-law? If she has long, dark reddish hair that is the sister. Alito's daughter was also there yesterday and she had blonde hair.
Nothing. It's a new buzzword meant to tar the officeholder. I've read though, thatthe more detailed meaning of the term is President's Bush's copius use of "signing statments," and an indicator that some members of Congress are of the opinion that President Bush is -NOT- following legislative intent in matters where he should.
It has the makings of a robust battle between those branches, and to the extent it is held in the open, I welcome it. I think Congress has too long shirked its duty and pssed "hot issues" off to other branches as a matter of being unaccountable.
Kohl's question is stupid too - and illustrates the same point I just made. Congress has the power to hold judges accountable, impeachment.
But not themselves"
I found that supremely ironic also.
Lndsay Graham was just on MSNBC with Nora O'Donnell..when they put the clip on the MSNBC website..it's a must see....he wwent right at her..she asked if it was "inappropriate that he coached Alito"..he told her "that's GARBAGE..."
The man's on a committee with Ted Kennedy, and he's talking about term limits for Judges!
The irony is too sweet!
OK thank you. She would make a good poker player.
Now the libs want an age limit to hold a job???
Please. More then half of their sen.'s would be forced to retire.
Kelo again. Kohl likes O'Connor's dissent. I'm not following Alito's answer - distracted by events in the office.
That's gotta be a little painful for the loonys to be reminded about.
And he was asking about age limits also
Ummm how old is Robert Bryd??
Good thing Byrd isn't there.
Its almost comedy listening to news and reading drudge like there is actually "news" going on. Most of the hearings so far have been as boring and dry as can be.
They try to make it seem like there is drama, but the news won't tell people the 2 most important facts. First the Rep party has enough votes to push him through regardless of what the Dems do, and 2nd- Does anybody think for even a second that they will try the fillibuster? I'm betting 100-1 odds they do not have the guts to even try.
Thanks. She is wearing a dark red suit and sits on the Judge's left (behind). Excellent at betraying no emotion...thought she must be an attorney.
Translation : Alioto will be confirmed.
Ah but it would only be applied to conservative judges.
And since judges can reinterpret whatever they want, why liberal judges could say, no no no that's not what it means, we get to stay
Or else they would swap districts/circuits etc
Oh, ok. I thought you were talking about a family member. Yeah, she must have been the woman that has become the minder for all of the nominees, on behalf of the administration. I believe she was with Roberts everywhere, too.
