I don't know on that one, for sure, have heard the assertion made but never looked it up. But the charge being made is that Alito is HIMSELF inconsistent.

The strip search of a ten year old is a non-issue. There was evidence that they may have hid drugs on the child. So, having a female officer search the child to make sure she did not have any drugs was prudent. What if they did not search the child and the child had dangerous drugs on her which she took and died from. Or, maybe the child might have given the drugs to another child, or taken them to school, etc, etc.

They were protecting the child. geesh!
