Police in Mississippi say they have recovered jewelry belonging to the family of Chicago Bears' legend Walter Payton. Investigators say, last September, 61-year-old Andrew Thrash and a woman accomplice posed as federal officers to gain access to Payton's mother's home. Once inside, police say the two stole more than $150,000 worth of jewelry, including a Bears lapel pin and an NFL coin with Walter Payton's face on it.
Thrash was arrested Wednesday in Tennessee and will be sent back to Mississippi Thursday.
His accomplice has not been found.

Just turn 'em loose around Soldier Field with a sign on him saying "I robbed Walter Paytons Mother".
He won't last more than five minutes or make it farther than a block.

Thrash was arrested right up the road in Memphis, in a little hamlet called Frayser.

Andrew, this is Mike. He was a friend of Walter's. Mike is going to explain to you why you never want to go that way again.

Is this guy related to James Thrash the wide receiver for the Washington Redskins?

I am so happy they got these guys. After they finish with them at Soldier Field, let them loose at Jackson State.
When I met Walter, way back in the mid 70s, I asked him where he worked. So if anybody ever wants to know, just ask me.

That is SO wrong!
I'm glad they got one.
Hope they get the other.
