"Since 1969, when his presidential hopes drowned alongside Mary Jo Kopechne, it has always been a pathetic peculiarity of modern American politics to watch Senator Kennedy indignantly lecture others about ethics and morality – especially on the occasions when he has simultaneously engaged in distorting records and smearing reputations."

That sums up Kennedy.

If he had not murdered[my opinion] Mary Jo, he in all probability would have been President.

"It's a different world. Conservatives have a voice."

The Internet has changed the way we get news in a way I never imagined.

I am 41 years old, and was politically unaware for the most part until the Clintonistas.

President Reagan was my type of president, but that was mostly based on being in the Air Force.

After the '92 election a friend told me about Rush Limbaugh. That's when I became aware. It amazed me to finally see just how leftward the media are.

Ted Kennedy, Michael Moore, Howard Dean
The (very scary) face of the 2006 Democratic party.
Keep up the good work guys, and have your pictures taken often with Hillary.

If you read the leftie blogs, they almost always focus on how Alito looks or his facial expressions. It is so lame. I can't even imagine conservatives being so petty and superficial.

Maybe ol'Kennedy is part of the reason for that decline. I wonder if the writer considered that?

And, a generation of those who would blindly heed the likes of Ted "because he's a Kennedy" or "because he's a 'Catholic'" are dying off. Some of them are in my own family, and they're in their 70s and 80s now.

Funny, how the only time spectator gets his panties in a wad is if he is being personally attacked.

He loves parliamentary procedure and Scottish Law. But hey, I'll take it.

The Kennedys are like Daisy Buchanaan. They smash things up and run away so other can pick up the pieces and try to clean up.

Well according to these liberals nothing is done in WDC without a lobbying effort, so who is funding these liberals.

It isn't a new bunch of cash. It's the threat of losing their old standby sources. Kennedy and co. were bought and paid for long ago by NOW, NARAL and the rest of the pro-abortion lobbies. This is where their investment over the years pays dividends.

Teddy's soul was sold long ago. Now he's just a meat puppet, mouthing the script, talking point by talking point. He and Schumer are ideal for this kind of work, because no matter how scummy and vile they get, their States will re-elect them.

GWB's next nominee for SCOTUS should be Robert Bork.

How long will Kennedy's staff be able to carry him? Clearly, his last brain cell has died.

It's like watching Weekend at Bernie's.

Kennedy should resign and take Specter and biden with him, while Schumer drives the get away car and hillary flying overhead on her broomstick.

Better yet, let Teddy drive :-)

In his 2002 biography Square Peg, Senator Orrin Hatch recalled Kennedy’s tirade against Bork as “a polemical screed, appalling in tone, in the number of gross misstatements, and in its reliance on indefensible distortions.” And yet it worked.

It worked because Reagan was slow to defend him and it was as different time then. Now we have the new media, talk radio, cable television (FNC), and the internet. Ted Kennedy cannot get away with the demogoguery he once was able to. He tried yesterday and failed.
