Our Ukraine Bloc led by President Viktor Yushchenko proposed to introduce direct presidential rule in Ukraine by the end of the parliamentary elections. As a statement made by the bloc says, under the threat of a national catastrophe we call to introduce direct presidential rule until the elections to the Supreme Rada are held, which are to be carried out fairly and transparently in accordance with the Ukrainian Constitution in March 2006.
Ukrainian Justice Ministry Sergey Golovaty has already reacted to the initiative: The Constitution prohibits such a measure. As the same time, Golovaty expressed his confidence that Yushchenko would not introduce direct presidential rule, reports Lenta.ru.
The dismissal of the Ukrainian government led by Yuri Yekhanurov was caused by the dissent of the MPs with the agreement on gas supplies signed by Russia and Ukraine in early January. Yushchenko himself called the Radas decision unlawful and did not rule out a possibility to dissolve the parliament

Where I come from we call that a dictator with a totalitarian regime.
LOL. This is too funny.
He's a "democrat" I tell you, a "democrat" trully in the Hitlery mold.
Yushchenko for Life Ping
Yup, all those taking dictatorial power use that little excuse....or its for the greater good, that's another popular one.
I think Yushchenko is willing to do everything to enforce his government. If I had any respect for the guy I lost it when he sent government representatives to the ecumenical patriarch trying to legitamize his nationalist church which was founded by an ousted heretic.
Yushenko must be trying to consolidate his power, he was given a fright after the vote by parliament.
I wonder if we could see a repeat of the events that took place in Moscow in 1993? I am sure you know that is when the Clinton backed Yeltsin regime disbanded parliament by decree. Yeltsin then brought in the tanks to shell his own parliament when they resisted his illegal decree. I still remember Warren Christopher talking about the victory of democracy.
It was worse much than Tienanmen Square. But since it benefited Khodorkovky and his ilk it was pure democracy.
Yes, and Halfbright embracing Yeltsin as the icon of democracy....that's the democracy we'll have to look forward to when a Soros installed puppet takes place here too. Now that they've had several nations to practice their craft in, watch for Hitlery to call out a color revolution in DC....I'm sure the EU/UN will scream for a recount/revote and the liberal students and bureaucrats will be marching in the streets to the music of leftist music stars and living in pre-packaged tents, etc.
