Kennedy reminded me of Sadaam berating his trial judge about how the trial should be managed. Too bad Specter couldn't have Kennedy executed after the hearings. That would be nice.

Oh my.
I see they are using all of their big words and bestest people skills in an attempt to convince the masses of their position. Wow. Who can possibly counter such eloquence? /sarc

One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: After three full days of attacks against her husbands character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, its been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully. Assuming that it really was a "senior Republican" who said this, I wish he had the spine to go on the record with it. It needs to be said...fearlessly and often.

When I posted it, I thought it was an exceptional lack of class and morals. I was wrong. Over in DU land, it is totally the rule. Amazing.

Saves me the bother of opening FireFox which I won't visit Drudge without.
You pimp your computer out to cyberspace's jail house shower when you surf anywhere sans FireFox, Opera . . .

It's amazing that anyone can keep their sanity after being subjected to hours of "questioning" by these vicious, mirco-cephalic buffoons.
"If you'll notice in the Clinton years, in fact, right-to-life Republicans recognized the competence of two liberals who were pro-abortion and the legitimacy of the elected President of the United States sending up a competent nominee even though they disagreed with him. "What you're seeing from Schumer is a kind of bitter ideological frenzy that, I think, most Americans think is inappropriate, and I think it will not help the Democrats. "On the second question about Judge Alito's personal belief system, today I thought the spirit of Joseph McCarthy was alive and well in the Senate Democratic Caucus, and if Joe Welsh, the famous lawyer who turned to McCarthy and said, 'Senator, have you no shame?' -- if he had been sitting next to Judge Alito, there were moments this afternoon when he could legitimately have turned to some of those liberal Democrats who were SMEARING Alito, implying things that are CLEARLY false, and said, 'Have you no shame?' " "And I would hope as they take this recess and as they have a chance to take a deep breath, that they come back and decide to get back to civility and to decency in the way they're treating this judge and his family." -- Newt Gingrich to John Gibson on The Big Story 1-11-06 |
