Ok. A little sarcasm here, but if you were in another country and your only photoshot of "America" was surfing the US TV channels; lets see: "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" "The Acadamy Awards" "The Osbornes" "The Simpsons" "MTV" "QVC" "Sex in the City" need I go on?
If you're suggesting that Islamists aren't jealous of America because American TV shows are full of idiocy and decadence, all I can say is, "would that were true."
You will notice that the modern era of Islamic terrorism (beginning around the time of the Munich Olympics) coincided with the average Muslim having access to television sets and, for the first time, realizing that they were living in Godforsaken hell holes compared to the West, and specifically, the United States. Coincidence? Maybe. But it is definitely NOT coincidence that, in times of war or peace, poverty or prosperity, good news or bad, Islamists seek the downfall of the United States. That is a sign of deep, abiding envy, not hatred.
