Schumer was born to a Jewish family in Brooklyn. He attended public schools in Brooklyn and continued his education at Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Soon after graduating from Harvard, he was elected to the New York State Assembly, where he served three terms.

Thanks for that link on Schumer, Mo1. It does say that he received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School. It doesn't say whether he took and passed the Bar exam though. He went straight from law school into politics and as we know too well, he has been there ever since.
